Salt Marsh Painting #3

Tidal Creek
10x20 acrylic on canvas
The original picture for this scene took me awhile to crop.
I finally settled on this narrow view, which accentuates the tidal creek.
What drew me to this scene was the glorious light reflecting off the water and wet grass.
It was coming down in beams and combined with the hazy mist in the background, made a beautiful sight.

A little watercolor fun....

I've been working on dozens of these bright, fun watercolors as a way
to develop my style for a children's illustration portfolio.
I plan to open up a shop soon on Etsy and make many of them available for sale.
9x12 - pen and ink, watercolor and gouache with salt resist
Just have to note that this one makes me laugh because it reminds me of when my oldest son was little.  I think this is what he imagined was going on under the water when he fished. - (note that the little perch is the only one thinking of taking the bait!)
