Original for Silent Auction to benefit Destiny Rescue

16x20 watercolor
I began thinking of this image in my mind a few months ago
when we were beginning to plan the Silent Art Auction to benefit Destiny Rescue.
This international organization recuses children from sexual slavery and provides safe homes for them to receive aftercare and training in a vocation.
This event is being scheduled for April 7th, 2016 at the Stockbridge Theatre in Derry, NH.

Beach in the off-season

I  think I like the coast in the off-season more than in the summertime.  With less people around, dogs and horses on the beach, and the noticeable effects of the changing seasons on the salt marshes and shoreline, it just seems more natural.
 - Thought I would share a beautiful afternoon!

Dockside, Camden Harbor

Dockside, Camden Harbor

I love how this painting turned out. The large size of the canvas, coupled with a close-up
view of two of Camden's well-known vessels, makes for an intimate,
yet bold portrait of Camden Harbor.
This one is also destined for Small Wonder Gallery, located right on the
Public Landing in Camden Maine.

On the Easel

Working on a large 2"thick 20x20" canvas...
This painting is from a photo I took in Camden, Maine.  I uploaded it to my computer
and kept cropping until I came up with this composition.
I like the big blocks of color - makes it bold.

Beach Colors

Beach Colors
8x12" acrylic

Dreaming of warmer days...
These bright umbrellas in a row, tipping in all directions, provide movement and color
 in this fun beach scene.
