Wheat Field

10.5x8" watercolor
This watercolor painting is of a wheat field, with its long, curving rows reaching
up toward the horizon.  I love the way the farmland looks when all you can see is land and sky. It's almost as if, in childlike exuberance, you feel that you could run
up to that hilltop and touch the sky.

Human Trafficking Awareness Month

Beloved
16x20" watercolor, 2016

Modern-day slavery is a real issue that often goes unthought of in our everyday lives.
While there are several organizations around the world fighting to end this tragedy,
one that is near to my heart is Destiny Rescue
 https://www.destinyrescue.org/us/
This international organization strives to rescue and restore the lives of children
trapped in sexual slavery around the world.
This original painting hangs in the Destiny Rescue New England office
Destiny Rescue New England / Boston
but 16x20 prints can be purchased through emailing me (contact tab at top of web page) and 100% of the profits from this print go back to Destiny Rescue.

Beach Play

11x14" oil on 2" gallery wrapped canvas
(added to shop 6/17)
I really enjoyed the process of painting this beach scene of
my niece playing in the sand when she was little. The oil paint is so lovely to blend
and allows for a fresh, painterly feel.

On the Easel

I decided to work in oil for this painting and I am LOVING the process....
I typically work in acrylic and have avoided oil because of the fumes of having
to use paint thinner as a flow agent and the fact that I seem to get the oil paint
on everything I own once I open a tube.  After seeing the difference and having the ability to blend without the paint drying out in 2 seconds.... I may never go back to acrylic.

Testing out the Pool

9x12" acrylic on Ampersand gessoboard
I enjoy the simplicity of this composition, along with the bright colors and variety of lines.
This is a painting of my youngest son, who enjoys being poolside
with his cousins in the summer.
